Logo Re-Design, Exhibition Stand & Printed Promo Items for Railtex '13

This week our client Eldapoint unveils a striking exhibition stand we designed and produced for Railtex ‘13. The UK’s definitive rail event, Railtex showcases the latest in technological innovation across all sectors of the rail supply market. The three day show, held at London’s Earls Court, sees over 9,000 rail professionals in attendance.

Creative Continuity has a long association with Eldapoint, a company that repairs, adapts and manufactures sea-going containers. Their heritage dates back to the 1960s and the inception of container vessels and they have been evolving their expertise in this area ever since.  Today these capabilities have been refined to a level where Eldapoint produces a large range of specialist steel housings including re-locatable equipment buildings (REBs) and modular equipment housings (MEHs).

Over the years we’ve produced a significant range of printed material to complement and enhance the Eldapoint product offering including ‘zebra style’ container graphics, large format decals, digitally printed reception panels and promotional print.

The brief for this job was wide ranging. Firstly, Eldapoint wanted a re-style of the company logo, retaining the recognisable elements of the original at the same time as bringing the graphic and font elements in line with contemporary design thinking. The finished design had to be suitable for use across a range of media, including hard print and digital platforms.

Eldapoint also required a striking exhibition stand design to attract attention and promote the rail industry products offered at Railtex. Working closely with the our client we produced ideas and visuals for a 4.5 metre by 2.4 metre backdrop, to be printed in a high resolution on foamex pvc panels.  Aimed at prospective customers, this tells the story of the trackside equipment housing capabilities in a clear manner with informative text and supporting pictorial content.

For sheer impact and theatre and to ensure Eldapoint stands out from the crowd, we decided to include an actual REB on the stand. This is a large steel unit weighing in at 3,100 Kg.  The unit is fitted with large format graphics including ‘cut-away’ shots to create the appearance of being able to look inside. Strategically positioned QR Codes enable visitors to scan and access digital content regarding the entire range of units available. Creative Continuity also provided a number of branded garments and environmentally friendly promotional giveaways to hand out to prospective customers.

This project illustrates Creative Continuity’s ability to work with clients from concept to implementation, bringing unique ideas and delivering ambitious print across a variety of media, resulting in a comprehensive and impactful sales presence at Railtex.
